This is so great. I'm about to publish a mezcal beginners guide as part of a cdmx series and would love to cross post with a a bit more in depth like this or similar.
Hey Kaitlynn. Just finishing up our local mezcal club meetup here in San Miguel de Allende. But I’d be happy to work with you. Let me know how that could happen.
Love that the young 'uns are getting involved and making their mark. This was a great line: "Think of it as a Palenque Pop-up." And also the hat on the pup was pretty darn cute. Sounds like you had a fantastico time! Saludos!
I know some maestros whose children aren’t interested—although they still hold out hope. But, with Mezcal experiencing an enormous boom, it seems an exciting time for many to shoot for the stars.
And omg the pinas and horses. What an effort.

Jeanine, the last few years I’ve met so many maestros who are, say, 32 or under. I love to see it too!
It’s a new wave of maestros—keeping hold of an age- old tradition. Wonderful in this day and age when so often ancient cultural practices can be lost.

Yes, that is the exciting thing! It’s a once in a lifetime chance—to ride that wave. I wish them all well!!
